The clients I love working with come in knowing what their business is all about. They have a clear sense of their audience, they understand what their business is trying to do, and they need someone to help them build a site that actually reflects that. So you guess. And guessing costs time and money.

In my experience, most clients fall into one of three categories. Some have the limited technical know-how but haven't yet defined the strategy their site should serve. Some come with a clear strategy but lack the technical skills to bring it to life on a website. And some are still building both. None of these starting points is a problem; they just shape where we begin.

What I want every client to hear, regardless of where they're starting, is this: you likely already have more than you think. The gap usually isn't your tools. It's knowing how to use what you have in a way that aligns with your business model and goals.

A free theme you understand beats a flashy builder you don't. A simple, consistent tool set beats a complex one you abandon in three weeks.

Before you add anything new, ask yourself one honest question: Does this serve my strategy, or am I just impressed by someone else's results?
