The Project Goal
Steve reached out about creating an online space to share his musical experiences with his musician friends and booking managers.
The website needed to be professional but also capture the sentimental side of his passion for drums and percussion.
Like a record collection and portfolio, he needed to build his website to establish a presence for more gigs as well.
The Process
I created the main essential pages to house his autobiography, photos, musical playbills, sound recordings, performance videos, blog posts, and contact information.
The most unique piece of the website is on the About page. We decided on a custom-coded timeline featuring interactive galleries and audio tracks, allowing everyone to enjoy the immersive experience of Steve's dream of drumming like his inspirations over the years. This happened to be a beautiful trip down memory lane for Steve.
It was important to showcase all his musical work. Across the website, we purposefully filled it with photos of well-known musicians, live-recorded song tracks, and behind-the-scenes footage.
The Results
Within the first month after launching his website, traffic grew to over 400 page views without any extra marketing efforts. As he keeps posting articles with keywords tied to his profession and passion, his visibility steadily improves. He has a portfolio website he can proudly show to booking managers.
